Q. Is catnip safe to give my cat at all ages? I heard that they don't respond to catnip for up to six months sometimes. Making sure it is all around safe

Answered By

A. Catnip should be safe to use, however consumption should be monitored, especially if your kitten or cat gets too excited/amped up by it. Most cat toys contain catnip and are fine to play with. However, some cats do NOT respond to catnip (at any age) and so may be less interested in the toy than others. Finding an alternative such as a fun treat or active feather toy may be a good alternative.
