Q. My cats litter boxes 2 the sand is getting to wet to fast. I have 2 cats a older cat and a younger cat and both litter boxes are wet from urine. HELP?

Answered By

A. Litter boxes should be cleaned daily, and it is best to have +1 litterbox for each cat you have (Ie 2 cats with 3 litterboxes) to give them enough space to go. Switching to a stronger litter brand may also help with clumping. If the urination is very frequent or your cats show signs of illness such as straining to go, loss of appetite, lethargy or pain, it may indicate a urinary tract issue and they should be examined by your vet.
