Q. I have a dog who is covered with lipomas, some are in uncomfortable places but she is getting to old for surgery. What can be done for her comfort.

Answered By

A. If surgery isn't an option there may not be much that can be done for her discomfort. If the lipomas are causing pain, then a pain medication may help. Heated beds or blankets may help her feel more comfortable if she needs to lay down or rest a lot. Making things around the house more convenient such as using raised food bowls, moving food and toys to easy to access areas, etc may also help.
