Q. My dog shakes and won't move whenever my wife leaves with out him what does this mean

Answered By

A. It sounds as if your dog is having some separation anxiety when your wife leaves. Distracting him with toys, soothing music or talk radio, a favorite treat and more may all help him to feel better while your wife is gone. Pheromone collars may also help to calm him naturally and decrease his stress behavior. If his response is really bad, it may be best to speak with your local vet or an animal behaviorist for a treatment plan including medication and behavior modification to help him overcome his fears.
