Q. Neighborhood cat with fast onset of hair loss; I can only feed & need oral meds to treat on only guess work. Any help? Thanks!

Answered By

A. Your cat needs an examination to determine the cause of the hair loss as it can be from a variety of issues ranging from skin infections/ring worm to systemic or metabolic illnesses. If you are unable to catch the cat yourself to bring to the vet, you may see if your local humane society has humane cat traps or a feral cat program so that they can safely get the cat in for vet care.
