Q. I have a 3-yr old male Cocker Spaniel. Dan-O has a warm, dry nose. Does this indicate fever and should I have him checked?

Answered By

A. A wet or dry nose meaning anything is a myth. As long as he is ok inself and showing no other signs then should be fine.

A. Warm or cold nose is not connected with the inner temperature but with weather conditions like humidity and external temperature. It's not an indicator of a health condition. Inner temperature should be measured in the anus. Normal limits are 37-39 C degree ( 98,6-102,2 F)
