Q. I have a 5 month old German Wire Haired Pointer. I suspect he is showing signs of food sensitivities. I am currently using Eukanuba.

A. You have two ways to rule out any food sensitivity. We have two kinds of diets to use, first type is hydrolyzed protein based diets like Hill's z/d because the proteins are split into pieces the body can not recognize them and that's why they didn't react it need to be used 8 to 10 weeks and after that you can back to a normal diet to test if the symptoms are back or stick to that diet. The other type of diets are based on selected ingredients that your dog is not supposed to be exposed before e.g. Venison and peas. Those diets are cheaper and can work if your dog tolerate those selected ingredients. Hill's d/d are using that selected ingredients.
