Q. Both of my cats have something clumpy in tgeir fur around their mane and on top of their heads. I have combed it and black flakes comes out...ideas?

Answered By

A. The most common cause for that are fleas. Fleas dirt is black and you can find it between the fur of your cats. To be sure is that you just put some of those black flakes in a white surface and mix it with a drop of tap water, if it turns red is positive for flea dirt because is blood digested. In that case use a proper flea treatment for both.
