Q. My dog has a swollen infected tooth . The vet has started her on Antibiotics but what type of anti-inflammatory do you give dogs with swollen gums

Answered By

A. It very much depends on her individual case, age and health status as some antinfiammatories can 't be given without ruling out kidney and liver disease completely. Human medications such as ibuprofen and paracetamol are very toxic for dogs so should be avoided. I would suggest that you ask for your vet specific advise on this occasion.
