Q. I have a 9 yr old cat tabby that has ad a mass removed from the back of her neck and sent off for a biopsy. How bad is sarcoma ?

A. Fibrosarcomas are really invasive tumours and they can be tricky to treat unless diagnosed early. They can be cured when there is enough clean margins for the lump to be removed. I would try not to worry until the histopathology results are back and then discuss with your vet the best course of action. Any further advice you need please get in touch, one of my cats also developed a fibrosarcoma she is nearly 15 and doing well.
