A. Feed her some puppy food (high in protein). I saw a video of a man playing a video of baby puppies crying for their mother in front of a stray, lactating dog. Thinking her babies were crying, she went straight to them, inadvertently showing the man where she was nesting. If you don't mind following the dog (possibly through some wooded areas) then you could try this method...
