A. If it's red with pus, that means it's almost certainly infected and should be treated with antibiotics. Please see your vet. He or she will clip and clean the area and evaluate it for any injury or seriousness of infection, and can prescribe antibiotics or another treatment if it turns out to be something unexpected like an ulcerated tumor.
