Q. How can I help my cat with skin lesions due to flea bite allergies?

Answered By

A. Initially you need to treat the flea problem with a good quality flea product from your vet. The over the counter ones are not as effective. Then if the FAD is very bad you may need a steroid injection or antibiotics from your vet depending upon the extent of them. Cats generally dislike being cleaned so cleaning the areas are probably not necessary if there are no open wounds.
