Q. I noticed 2 days ago that my guinea pigs ear was sticky on the inside. When I got him out tonight it had puss in it and was very smelly

A. It needs to be examined by your vet as soon as possible and appropriate antibiotics prescribed. In the meantime clean it well with salty water soaked cotton pads. Try not to get the water down into the ear itself. If your guinea pig is lethargic or off food then you should see your emergency vet if your usual vet is closed as little animals can go downhill very quickly.
