Q. My dog is having trouble jumping up on things and running. I checked his paws and legs no scratches or cuts. He does keep licking and biting one leg.

A. Sometimes dogs will lick and bite an area that is causing pain or discomfort and that would tie in with the struggling with running and jumping. If there is no obvious signs of injury then it could be a soft tissue injury which will need strict rest. You should see your vet to confirm that is what is causing the problem and they will be able to provide appropriate pain relief too.
