Q. I cant tell if my cat has a tick or a growth. Ive had to remove ticks in the past and I dont think this looks like on. Looks like an eggplant

A. Sometimes it is tricky to tell. Ticks are usually up to the size of a baked bean and grey or brown in colour. If you are unsure ask your veterinary nurse to double check. You have to be careful if removing them yourself as the head burrows into the skin and if this is left behind it can cause infection.
