Q. Vet says my 15 yr old cat has 2 abscessed teeth but there seems to be no outward signs. Her appetite is good just likes her jaw massaged alot.

A. Cats often don't show signs of being unwell until they are very poorly. It is common for older cats to have dental problems and they only way to deal with this is with a dental procedure under general anaesthetic. The vet may wish to start antibiotics before the procedure as there is infection in the mouth.
