Q. What can dogs take for pain after being spayed

Answered By

A. Vets normally provide pain medication to give post spaying for a few days. It depends on the vet and also the dog. Meloxicam is the most popular but it can cause problems in dogs with comprised liver and kidney function. If you think she is still in pain speak to your vet for appropriate pain relief for her as your vet knows her and her medical history. DO NOT give any human or over the counter medications.
