Q. My dog is gagging dry. Nothing comes out. At times sounds like he has asthma. Is there anything I can do

Answered By

A. It depends on the cause. If it is kennel cough then it will just run its course as this is a virus, if it is due to inflammation or infection then it is likely to need antibiotics or antiinflammatories from your vet. My major concern would be a heart or respiratory problem, possibly heart failure or fluid around the heart or in the lungs. I would recommend having him checked by your vet as soon as possible.
