Q. My dog wont stop panting and shivering . She is not in heat or cold just keeps panting and shivering and wont settle down

Answered By

A. It could be the sign of pain. If she is struggling to pass urine or feces that could cause her to be unsettled. If it continues for more than a couple of hours then consult your vet. Do so more urgently if there are any signs such as trying unsuccessfully to retch. If she is a large breed dog I would want to rule out GDV which would need immediate veterinary treatment and is life-threatening.
