  • 1. Please Rescue an animal from here....they need your help!!

The only good thing about this place is Dr. Ferris who is associated with this shelter from NC State of Vet medicine. They offer a very low cost treatment for heart worms. Currently my Sparky is going through his heart worm treatment and is doing wonderful thanks to Dr. Ferris. \n\nBefore I rescued Sparky from this shelter, I had put a deposit on him. They had then found out he was heart worm positive and the girl told me to come pick up my deposit. Um...No ...I still want him. They were ready to get rid of him that easily. I was very disappointed with how heartless some of they workers in there were. Don't take me wrong. There are some nice ones. Their intake rate is very high, but something has got to be done. They are killing these poor animals way too fast.\n\nPlease rescue one today....if I had more room, I would definitely rescue more.\n\nCall 919-212-PETS

There is a wide variety of adorable animals to choose from

Dirty, Smelly and they give the animals 2 weeks before sending to the gas chambers

This facility is a WONDERFUL place to adopt a companion. \n\nTheir intake rate is sky-high, so their euthanasia rate is also. However, the shelter remains clean, and they have hundreds of GREAT dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies waiting for their forever homes!\n\nI have rescued many dogs from that shelter, including two who are my personal companions. I love the fact that their adoption fees INCLUDE spay/neuter, vaccinations, rabies shot, and microchipping.\n\nNow they are even offering a free $500 medical benefit on adopted animals!!!\n\nCall the shelter today to find your new best friend!\n(919)-212-PETS

very clean, adoption fee is GREAT and all-inclusive.

    some staff not so savvy.

  • 3. I just adopted a big, fuzzy dog, and he was clean and well cared for.

They are a busy place, but they seem to do things well. I wish I could have adopted more dogs. They had some really nice ones. \r\n\r\nDon't litter - spay and neuter!

My dog came to me healthy and clean with a great personality.

Check out seemed a little slow with a dog ready to go.
