  • 3. Review of Veterinary Medical Center

    by: Robin55

I chose this particular animal hospital after first moving to Syracuse last year at the recommendation of my roommate who had only been there one with her new puppy. The service was fine at first but after awhile it became clear to me that not only was my dog completely petrified of everyone that worked there (much more so than with previous vets) but their prices are ridiculous. The final straw was when I was charged -brace yourself- $42 for an anal gland expression! I don't know who felt more violated afterwards - myself or the pup. I do NOT recommend this animal hospital.

    Pros

    The hours of operation

    Cons

    Prices, staff attitudes

Referred by our vet to VMC...our cat had a large lung tumor...Dr. Robinson is incredible, as is the entire staff.\nAlways available to answer questions, patient, caring, and skilled. I know of no other place that can come close to the level of care they provide. Thank-you!

This is agreat place to go for emergencies, as they are prepared for everything. And they have specialists on staff in surgery, internal medicine, acupuncture, ophthalmology, cardiology, and physical rehabilitation. • 8. Veterinary Medical Center and Dr. Kevin Wallace are Tops

    by: OreoNala

Dr. Wallace and his team fought long and hard to make the life of my cat, Mouser, productive and comfortable. Dr. Wallace patiently answered all my questions and always made time for Mouser and me. When it was time for Mouser to leave us, he and his staff grieved with me. \n\nEven when Mouser was in critical condition, I was always welcome to come and sit by her and she received attention and quality care until the end.\n\nThe center is open 24/7 with vets and techs available for emergencies.

    Pros

Dr. Kevin Wallace and his Team, Open 24/7

    Cons

    by: peteandamie

This is an excellent facility. The only one in our area that offers top of the line care. Specialists in their field. They offer you the best treatment option for your pet, and let you decide if it's something you can follow through with. Without passing judgement, which is something that is hard to come by.

    Pros

    Top of the line facility

    Cons

costly, but hey, if you want the best for your pet. We do what we can.

Everything about this place was top notch. They took the time to explain everything in both medical and laymans terms. Made sure we understood all the options, what drugs did what and why. There was no 'waiting' period,as soon as we entered the building the staff was ready and took our pet right in. They offer a wide range of services and have specialists in the areas of internal medicine,Ophthamology,Cardiology ,surgery and acupuncture. I was very pleased with the service and professionalism of their staff.

    Pros

They have it all -no excuses

    Cons

    50 minutes away
