  • 1. Western Colorado's Greatest Vet!

    by: sandyl

I had many years and many pets cared for by Doctor Bob and his staff - 25 or 26 years! Cats, dogs, turtles - all through routine and emergency care situations, you couldn't find a better vet. Dr. Turrou thoroughly researches pets' conditions and lets you know pros/cons of various treatments up front. If there's a chance that a treatment won't work, he lets you know AND he tells you Plan B, Plan C, etc. You will know what the current research indicates for treatment plans - what he learns, you learn. He also tells you what you're looking at in terms of expenses for different treatments.\r\n\r\nIf you are aware of a product or treatment, you can feel totally at ease in speaking to him about it. He'll find out all he can about it to give you his professional opinion. He isn't afraid of getting another opinion when it's called for and has no problem with you saying you want a second opinion. His ego never supercedes the needs of your pet.\r\n\r\nWhen that time comes for your beloved pet to go across the rainbow bridge, if you are making the quality of life decision for your pet, Dr. Turrou makes sure that there is time for you to be with him/her and that there isn't an appointment waiting in the next room. They schedule time for you to be with your pet after he/she has been put to sleep, understanding that you need that time to say final good-byes and have some closure. \r\n\r\nDr. Bob has been involved with many shelter and spaying/neutering projects and programs over the years - you will see signs, brochures, and collection boxes when you walk into the clinic. The first thing you notice when you enter the clinic is a large board of pet photos and cards from patients and fans! \r\n\r\nHis clinic is a small, warm place to entrust the well-being of your animal friends. Ask animal owners around the Redlands area of Grand Junction/ Mesa County, Colorado and you will hear wonderful reports.\r\n\r\nIf you live in the area, make sure you check out Redlands Pet Clinic!\r\n\r\n
