My grandmother adopted from Tree House years ago. This is a great place and they really helped her to make a good choice.

    Nice facility

    by: kimberlimhh

This is an incredible place. If I were a homeless cat, I would hope that I was brought to Treehouse. The people who work and volunteer there truly have love and compassion in their hearts for the animals.

    Pros

Good people, good facility, good hearts

    Cons

    None

  • 3. They have some room

    by: scaredycat

They have the room for the cats to actually be out and about. And of course the staff is great

The family has been sending money to them for years. They are a great organization with good community support

  • 5. Great

    by: blackie1

Have never been here, but have supported them financially for years. No-kill shelters are difficult to maintain in the best interests of the animals, and they seem to do a great job

    Pros

    no-kill

    Cons

    none

  • 6. Great shelter for cats

    by: JudiStone

It's been a while since I last visited this shelter. The people there are very caring and the cats get great care there. I loved the fact that it is cageless so the stress level is lower for these felines.

    Pros

    Knowledgeable staff, very friendly

    Cons

    none

  • 7. Great Place

    by: lulangel

This shelter is great. It's the best place for a cat to be, besides a home. I love that they have an FIV cat room. They always give cats a chance at life when they can be saved, even if they are not that nice with people. The shelter is pretty clean, considering the amount of cats they have

    Pros

    very clean, good smell,nice people

    Cons

    none at the moment

  • 8. great place

    by: cathleent3

If you have never checked this place out, it is worth the trip. Treehouse is a fantastic shelter for the most abused and sick animals. Years ago, when I was fostering many cats, they were able to take a cat that I knew I could not help.\r\nNot only did they make me comfortable with the decision to leave him there, they made him more comfortable in the first hours that I was there, than I had seen him in weeks.\r\n\r\nWhat angels.\r\n

    Pros

    cant say enough

    Cons

limited like the rest of us.

  • 9. Amazing Place!

    by: AngCMP

Two of my three cats are from Tree House and I regularly volunteer for them doing community outreach and public education. I give my time and energy because it is a wonderful, growing organization with a great mission - .... a humane organization that promotes the inherent value of every animal and strives to educate the public about proper and responsible animal care, with a focus on the care and placement of stray cats with special physical and emotional needs.\r\n

    Pros

    Full, on-site clinic

    Cons

    None

  • 10. Awesome!

    by: Felinophile

Tree House is the best cat shelter in the area. They have their own on-site clinic and specialize in caring for sick and injured strays that wouldn't stand a chance at your average shelter. They are there for the cats that nobody else cares about. They just keep getting better and better.

    Pros

    The best of care.

    Cons

    Kitten season.

  • 11. Full of wonderful cats... and PEOPLE!

    by: andreaforanimals

I am very involved in animal rescue in my area, and Tree House is one of the very best. They are full of caring, kind, good people... not grouchy like you often find in shelters (due to lack of funds, too many hours, frustration with animal care issues and affected by things they have seen and cannot help with.) The cats are not caged; the people are helpful and genuinely nice, and they're always moving up and on in a positive direction. They have an in-house clinic and vet staff, support TNR legislation and make it easier for those who care.

    Pros

Can't say enough good things about them!

    Cons

    None I know of

  • 12. Cage free Cat Shelter

    by: janowin

What I liked about this shelter is that the cats are free to roam in rooms so you can really interact with the cats and pick the right one for you. I got my cat Oscar from there in 2003. The staff was very knowledgable about each cat and the cat's personality and about picking the right cat.\r\n\r\nWhat I didn't like is they had some cats that were not adoptable on the main floor and I thought some looked so bad they should have been put out of their misery. I suppose that is the case with most no-kill shelters.

    Pros

cage free so you can interact w/cats, great staff & volunteers

    Cons

    some cats are not adoptable
