    by: Luvmypups

I have been there a few times, my bosco came from there. They are nice friendly people who try to give you as much info as possible. The animals are well taken care of. It could use some improvements but what place cant, i think they do the best with what they have and have the animals best intrest at heart. My only complaint is when we adopted bosco they said he was 2 years of age and housebroken and the vet said he was only 10 months old at most and he definatley was not housebroken, but that might be at fault to whomever brought him in they can only know what they are told! So i would definatley adopt there again!

    No kill, Nice People,

    cant always take animals

  • 2. Got my dog here, no kill shelter

    by: milocwilk

When my first shepherd of dies of old age 4 years ago, I went to Stark County Humane Society several times to look at the dogs. Every one I talked to was very helpful and about my first dog passing away. On about my 3rd visit I finally decided on which dog needed me most and which dog was for me.\r\n\r\nThe staff here work hard to care for the animals and keep everything clean. This is a good place to get a dog.

    no kill

Treats animals very kindly. However it is slightly dirty.

  • 5. good caring place

    by: mary8949

I like the place, but there needs to be another shelter. They are no kill, so if you find an animal you have to call each morning to see if they have an opening. They also have emergency vet care for strays which is great!\n\nThey do their best. Too bad there is not a mandatory spay/neuter law for Stark County.

They are a no kill shelter

Can't take in all pets if full

  • 6. Great People!

I haven't been to the actual location but have met several of their employees when adopting my two cats Calista and Simba from them. Not only are they very knowledgable but they are friendly, sociable and you can tell they really, truly care for the animals.\r\n\r\nAll of all future animals will be adopted from the Stark County Humane Society.

    Great employees, great animals
