  • 1. What a Caring Group of People

    by: Sanheart

They are the best group of people to work at a vet. They really care about the animals and the people. My daughter was so distraught they had to sit her down and talk to her regarding her cat. I would recommend them to anyone who loves and owns animals. They also sent us a sympathy card a week later with the Rainbow Poem enclosed. It made us all cry but...

    The most compassionate people

We had to put our Cat to sleep

We took our cat here when she was diagnosed with cancer. We had to have her euthanized because we could not afford treatment, she was very sick at this point and it was very hard on me. The doctor & the techs were very caring. They understood how important my cat was to me. They were very gentle with her, and explained everything they were doing. Even after my cat had been euthanized, the vet was very gentle with her and treated her like she was still living, and more precious than anything else in the world. She always will be to me. Their staff seemed to say the things I needed to hear, and were extremely sensitive. They sent me a sympathy card in the mail a few days later, many of the staff signed it that never even had the opportunity to meet my cat. They included a poem called "The Rainbow Bridge"; which helped a lot. They are very caring people and I will taking my cats here from now on.

    Well priced, Very caring, Comforting

Long wait, they are probably short staffed

I used this office when my baby corn snake was very sick. Sadly, he passed away. However, the people here were so friendly and tried so hard that I decided to make them my permanent office. I trust them with my kitty.

    always friendly

    none that come to mind

We take our 5 cats to Southtowns and for the most part have been very satisfied. Just recently we have had some communication problems or misunderstandings with front office staff. Nothing critical though. We find Dr. J. to be very caring and understanding, and very thorough in explaining things to us. We have 5 cats, all different ages and having different vet needs.

    readily available for appts

there have been some mixups with front office staff, need for shots, etc

I recomend this place to anyone who lives near. They were wonderful when I lived in that area and did not have a vet to take my dog to. A great place to have!

    Only one waiting room

  • 6. Our Only Choice

    by: Libster

I have brought our animals to Southtowns since we have had animals. (15+ years). We have always received expert care, caring support and full explainations on the care given , costs involved and alternate treaments that might be relevant to the situation. No waits for appointments, Can get an appointment in reasonable amount of time. Accomodating staff and a cheerful, professional setting. \r\n\r\nLast year when our black lab, Rodney was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer, all options and costs were fully explained, sometimes repeated, as we were distracted. At the time he was put down, the DVM and staff were so compassionate and caring for both Rod and us, we could not have asked for a better way to say good-bye.\r\n\r\nOverall, this is the ONLY place good enough for our precious pets!

Conveniently located, Expert care, Reasonable charges
