  • 1. Great Service!

I recently brought my cat over to this hospital, after I had horrible experiences in another. \r\n\r\nThe staff is friendly and Dr. John Hatch is great in answering your questions and concerns. \r\n\r\n I cannot reiterate how great of a service my cat received. I left feeling more knowledgable on my cats condition and feel that they actually care about your pet! Not like other veterinary hospitals.\r\n\r\n

    Pros

    friendly, and patient staff

    Cons

    none

  • 2. Open on saturdays and sundays!!!

    by: sfurnbac

We have been taking our two dogs, Madison and Sheffield to this place for 2 years. They always have last minute appointments for when they are sick. They also seem to care that your animal is sick and squeeze you in!! My dogs have been there for routine check-ups and also for sick visits and each time we are very satisfied. \n\nI would recommend this place as opposed to places in Hoboken, which are usually very crowded. \n\nThe female doctor, I forget her name, is SO nice and my dogs like her, until she gives them a shot. The staff is friendly and when I lost my bill, they printed me another one, etc. (for the dog insurance). \n\nThey seem reasonably priced, and had even talked to me on the phone when I just had a few questions. My dog was throwing up and I wanted to know if I should bring him in. I was a very new puppy owner! She instructed me to boil some chicken and rice, and see if he eats and drinks. They told me to make sure he does not get dehydrated, and he continues to be sick throughout the night, or does not eat or drink, to bring him in right away. Turned out, he ate a stick or something outside, and after a good nights sleep he was back to his normal self. It was great advice for an overreactive puppy owner. Not many people will do that.

    Pros

Open on sat and sundays, friendly, nice, good with my pups

    Cons

    A little far from Hoboken

  • 3. Gotta Love this place!!

    by: Mshan

We brought our family dog there for years & she was always treated well. When she passed at home - they kept the office open late for us to arrive with her. We elected to have Pookie cremated & returned to us - they also went ahead & cleaned her collar & tags. Pookie was retuned in a beautiful wooden box to boot.\r\n\r\nWe also bring Mugsy there - who has fear aggression. They work with us in providing medication to make him lucid & they suggested we get our own muzzle - they treat him excellently & I cannot rave enough.\r\n\r\nOur Maddie is another story - she's a love bug - she wagged her tail as they took blood from her on her first visit.\r\n\r\nAlways a pleasure & they will always fit you in.

  • 4. Gotta Love this place!!

    by: JohnH

Our prior vet felt that our dog had a problem because he didn't approve of being poked and prodded. We shifted to Secaucus Animal Hospital because they said they had a big guard dog clientel. Our oldest dog Mugsy is fear aggressive so ANY vet is an issue. Although he has to be sedated to have anything like a teeth cleaning, they are great about it and understand. \r\nThank god we found this place.

    Pros

They understand not all dogs love being manhandled by a vet

    Cons

  • 5. Excellent Vet!

    by: aurora

I had heard good things about this practice and specifically Dr. Hatch for a long time before actually going there. My foster dog, a Miniature Dachshund wasn't feeling herself one day and they were able to get us an appointment immediately. Dr. Hatch was excellent with her and was more than reasonable when it came to pricing!

    Pros

very rescue friendly, very good bedside manner

    Cons

    a little far from me

  • 6. outstanding

Dr. Hatch is by far the most knowledgable and capable vet in the area. coupled with his compassion for animals that is clearly evident during every visit, this makes for the best vate care experience one could hope for.

    Pros

    top notch, industry leader

    Cons

  • 7. Dr. Hatch is wonderful

    by: shadrack

Dr. Hatch saved my dog's life, pure and simple. He combines a holistic approach to modern medicine and was so concerned with my pet's pain management.\n\nHis prices are very fair in an area where prices prohibit many people from getting their pets proper preventative care. The front desk people are sweet and attentive to all patients and owners in the waiting room.\n\n

    Pros

knowledgeable and medical staff consults each other

    Cons

can be a bit busy at times but worth the wait
