  • 1. Incredible love at Rolling Dog Ranch

    by: Terrel

Rolling Dog Ranch cares for blind, deaf, disabled animals. Including horses. They give these animals a second chance at life. Check out their web site or blog: http://www.rollingdogranch.org or http://blog.rollingdogranch.org/ You will enjoy the stories and fall in love with the animals. Each one has a story. The founders are incredible people with hearts of gold. They work long days to provide for the animals and ensure they live quality lives.

    Cons

  • 2. Proud to have RDR in my state

    by: chitown

Rolling Dog Ranch frequently takes in the double-castoffs: dogs, cats, and horses who have already been turned in to shelters or rescues, whose staff try to find them homes but can't, and call RDR as their last best hope. The owners, Steve Smith and his wife Alayne Marker, are also doing a great service to blind horses by having a Web site about them which calls on breed registries to acknowledge genetic tendencies for blindness. A bonus on their RDR Web site is the upbeat, informative blog.

    Pros

    Just great all around

    Cons

Can't take in every needy animal on the planet
