I used this vet in the past and the vets there were very caring. I moved from the area and have now changed to a local vet. I would highly recommend this animal hospital

Rau is a wonderful, caring animal hospital. The Drs. and Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, animal-loving folks! They relate well to both me and my dogs! They are dedicated to providing the best service in diognosis and treatment of my pets.

    Pros

The staff seems to love my pets as much as I do!

    Cons

    none

  • 3. Great vet hospital if your pets are your kids!

    by: CatLady090

Fanastic vet if your pets are your kids. We switched to this vet when one of my cats was diagnosed with CRF and my then vet didn't seem to want to do much for her. Our doctor at Rau offers lots of options and communicates them well. Human clients are treated as part of the decision making team. Most of the techs are great (we've had a few that couldn't remember the cats name from one minute to the next, weren't great with nail trimming, etc.). \r\n\r\nThey are expensive and like to run tests. Old vet would just give you antibiotics if you knew cat had a UTI, this one wants to do lots of tests first, which I guess is more ethical, but sometimes you know what is wrong and what you need....\r\n\r\nNice extras include treats and catnip toys in the exam rooms, separate exam rooms and waiting areas for cats and dogs (although the waiting room is just partitioned so you can still hear the barking - we try to go during the day when it is less hectic). Exam tables have linoleum on them so cat is not upset by the stainless steel (even though one of mine likes to sleep in the stainless sink).\r\n\r\nOcassionally we've ordered food or a prescription reorder and it wasn't ready (or the order wasn't put in) when we went to pick up. They make it right though while you wait.\r\n\r\nMy only REAL complaint about this practice is that they don't offer any kind of spay/neuter discounts or take the certificates for strays/ferals or people who just need a break. This is such an important issue EVERY vet should be doing what it takes to get people to spay/neuter.

    Pros

Fantastic hours; great vets; lot of nice 'extras'

    Cons

Food and meds aren't always ready when ordered. Expensive.
