I saw Dr. Petersen several years ago for acupuncture on my senior dog. His staff were somewhat difficult when scheduling me, as I was stretched thin on time between leaving work in the East Valley, getting my dog at home in Central Phx then trekking out to 75th Ave in rush hour. Yet he was the only vet I could find to do the acupuncture. I was reminded by the staff several times that I could not be late nor stay past closing time. It ended up pouring rain the day of my appointment and I was frantic.\r\n\r\nDr. Peteresen could not have been kinder. His impression was TOTALLY different than the schedulers and he did indeed stay late with me without making me feel bad for the after hours. After the acupuncture and meeting my immobile dog he said a few compassionate words that will ALWAYS stay with me: "Please don't make him continue like this for too long" It was stated in the gentlest and most loving manner and it brought me to tears. \r\n\r\nI have not visited again, but if he were closer to me, I probably would. If you happen to see this, thank you Dr. Petersen, for reminding me that it's all about my pet's well-being - not my own hurt from the loss.
