What a great organization! They are really filling a gap in the community.

Helping pets that other organizations won't

    Needs more money

The area really needs to support the effort of this group. They really need more building space. Every dollar donated will have a return greater than money can buy.

    WNY's only maternity ward

    by: UkrHalfbright

I have watched this organization grow from working with local special and maternity cases to now working within a network of out-of-state rescue operations to reach as many animals in need as possible and find them good homes. The Pet Connection takes on extremely difficult cases of neglected and abused animals, and the work is hard, but that does not stop the staff and volunteers from providing countless hours of attention and care to these helpless creatures before helping to find them the right home. The facility provides plenty of space for the animals to heal and play because it is located in a rural area. Now with this expanded network, an updated and improved facility with this makeover would do wonders to make this shelter even better and provide care for the many special and maternity cases out there!

Plenty of space for animals to recover in, animals get lots of social time, even the toughest cases receive whatever help can be given, strong national network to help animals even from other states

Needs improved facility to help even more animals

    by: LBowen

Absolute wonderful shelter to volunteer at and adopt from. I have been a volunteer for almost a year, I am truly amazed at the dedication and love given to all the shelter animals. As a result the animals are well adjusted and make fantastic additions in their new homes.

    incredible dedication from all involved

  • 7. Great Place!

    by: gagasbarre

The people at the shelter are very friendly and show great devotion to keeping their animals healthy and putting them into good, safe homes. Whenever I visit the shelter, there is always something to do for the shelter or the pets. It is a great place to be and everybody loves to go there and help! The Pet Connection relies on donations and help from others and now needs everybody's help more than ever to keep saving animals lives.

The people who run the shelter are very devoted to their animals

More and more help and donations are needed for the shelter to continue taking in animals

  • 8. Excellent Animal Shelter

    by: Dog2008714

I have volunteered for about four years now, and I believe that it is an excellent place to volunteer. We save so many lives of animals that would otherwise be put to death, sometimes in inhumane ways. However, it is difficult to come up with the necessary funds to support these efforts, and that's why I start the annual dog walk-a-thon, but that alone is not enough. We need everyones help to help save more lives!!!!

There are no kennels, but animals are under control, they take in any animal that is in need

They rely on donations from the community, and therefore cannot take in as many animals as they would like.

  • 10. Our dog was adopted from here

    by: cdkscully

We adopted our dog, Indy, from here in October 1993. The owner of the shelter rescued him and his brothers and sisters from an endangering situation. They were all thrown on the Thruway (the 400) in New york state. How could someone do that to a bunch of babies?!\n\nIt was a match made in heaven and the best thing that ever happened to us!

saving animals that have been dumped is a worthy cause
