    by: Redfrogg

Two-year affiliation with Pet Adoption League Emmett. Volunteers work long, hard hours to nurture and maintain cats and dogs. PAL survives by the kindness of the community members, cash and goods donations, and volunteers. There is no secure source of funding. It is with the grace of our higher power and the animal lovers of this area that we are allowed to continue supporting the animals of Gem County Idaho

    Pros

Dedicated staff of volunteers with tons of hours of service

    Cons

Limited $$$$ and resources to serve Gem County and other area animal shelters/rescue organizations

I was at "PALS" the other day. Three of my "babies" (cats) have disappeared and I was hoping to find them at the shelter. \r\nThe staff was very kind and helpful. The animals they have there are well taken care of and you can tell the ladies really care about them. \r\nUnfortunately I didn't find my cats, and I'm afraid that with this community, some one has trapped them. Mine never leave home. \r\nThat's another reason I support, "PALS" is because this is a farming community that really needs to be educated on the love that people can have for their pets. \r\nWe have too many old timers here who feel free to dispose of pets like garbage. \r\nWe NEED PALS and other shelters like it, to keep operating in areas like this. \r\n\r\nPlease, Support "PALS!"

    Pros

No kill, Our community has nothing else like it. Great Staff, animal friendly

    Cons

They need more room. More money and volunteers.
