BUTCHER Dr. Clements Misdiagnosed my Capuchin monkey twice, once almost killing her. In 04 he removed her baby k9s because she was chewing furniture and getting into medicine quicker then I could get her. Took her back a few weeks ago to have the same procedure done to prevent future health issues. He ripped out all her teeth and left in only her molars even thought the operation order said remove k9 & check yellow tooth on top, he said it must have been a miscommunication. Not only did her ruin her quality of life for the next 20 years, He left in bone and teeth fragments, stitches were few and loose, her jaw bone was exposed and she almost died. She was hospitalized at another vet for 2day, had to be re-operated on and rehydrated! Dr. Clements works at Palmyra Animal Clinic, Colonial Park Animal Clinic and Silver Springs Animal Clinic

  • 2. Momentous Vet Practice!!

    by: LinzeyZ

Having living in Central PA for 25 years with dogs and cats I have gone to three vets in Lancaster, University of Penn Vet and Palmyra Animal Clinic. I decided to go to Palmyra when none of the three vets in Lancaster could successfully treat my Susquehanna Service Dog for moderately challenging conditions. It was in switching that I discovered what I was missing. First and most importantly - having a vet that offers 24 hour emergency service by the doctors at the practice. This means that the same doctors that see your dog are available in an emergency. I have had to take my assistance dog to the Lancaster 24 hour emergency clinic and it was AWFUL not being able to get my dogs entire records until the following Monday!! NEVER again will I go to a vet without that service. In addition, they have the most state of the art diagnostic equipment on hand - including a CAT Scan! And when the doctors feel you should get a second opinion - they tell you - as they have personally done for my own dogs AND for puppies that I have raised for Susquehanna Service Dogs. (I have raised 12 dogs for them and all of them are taken to Palmyra for their entire care - if you do the math that means just with Susquehanna Service Dogs puppies i've had 12 spay/neuters, over 48 vaccination appointments and COUNTLESS emergency type appointments for sprains, UTI's, colds, etc) There is not one doctor there that I would not ultimately trust my animals life with - medically they hire and work with only the best of the best! (I personally recommend Dr. Hahn, but he fits best for my individual choices). I also have Chihuahua's who require extremely unique and different veterinary care and have been beyond satisfied with the treatment and care they have received. I have never left an appointment, or emergency anything less than satisfied. Finally, I would like to note how sensational the Vet Techs and general staff are at Palmyra. They do not only get to know my dogs, but they build relationships with them to the point that my dogs look forward to going to the vet! They treat my animals like royalty. Five Stars - Two Thumbs Up - from a pet owner of multiple dogs (Chihuahuas and Labs) and a service dog user/trainer/raiser.

    by: rabuck

The Palmyra Animal Clinic has been wonderful to my yellow lab Kobe. Kobe is known for "hot spots". Every time he has an outbreak, they manage to fit us in their schedule. They also have a fantastic kennel. Kobe loves going on "vacation" there. The staff has always been very loving and caring towards Kobe. About 3 years ago Kobe had torn his ACL in his knee and the doctors and staff did a magnificent job with his surgery and physical therapy.

    Pros

    Vering caring, loving, knowledgeable,

    Cons

    A bit pricey
