  • 1. I wouldn't adopt there...

    by: weeniedoglover

I worked there, so I know...many staff members don't clean it correctly. It needs to be disinfected, not just swept under a rug, etc. I left that job because I felt I wasn't treated well and I worked hardest out of everyone and was not recognized. they expect TOO much out of you.

    Pros

Some areas CAN be clean with right staff

    Cons

Most staff don't care enough to keep it clean

  • 3. Clean and bright shelter for cats.

    by: cherrylee

We visited Operation Kindness on the recommendation of a friend and were pleasantly surprised. The cats were free to roam in sunny, spacious rooms. The shy cats had plenty of perches to hide out on, and the friendly ones were free to walk up and greet people. We adopted "Shannon" who was a 1-year old stray who had just had a litter of kittens. She's now a 10-year old senior and rules our house. Thank you Operation Kindness!

    Pros

Sunny rooms with lots of windows for cats.

    Cons

    None.

  • 4. Nice facility.

We adopted our cat, Shannon, from Operation Kindness 10 years ago. At that time, a lot of the cats were free to roam in large, sunny rooms and they looked happy and relaxed.

    Pros

    Cage-free.

    Cons

    None.

  • 5. A good friend found a furry friend here...

    by: againe23

A close friend of mine was lonely after her cat passed and needed a new friend to join her in life. She lives in the Carrollton area and looked up Operation Kindness. The staff was helpful and answered questions (as best they could) and my friend took home a warm new feline friend.

    Pros

clean and animals are well cared for

    Cons

    none

  • 6. Great facility

    by: saveapei

This facility is always clean when I've been there. The animals always look well cared for and healthy. They are a good bunch of people and will refer families/individuals to a rescue group if they don't have what someone is looking for. They're easy to work with and always seem willing to help.

    Pros

    No kill

    Cons

    Can't think of any

  • 7. Extremely clean

    by: Hollene

This facility is great and it's so good to know that a no-kill shelter is around Addisson, but I think the staff could be a bit nicer. I felt a bit man-handled when I went through the process of attempting to surrender a pet that belonged to a relative who'd passed away. \r\n

    Pros

Smart, prof staff and supernice facility

    Cons

    Staff could be nicer

  • 8. Really nice shelter

  • 9. WandaLee

    by: WandaLee

I visited Operation Kindness some time back. They are a wonderful no kill shelter in Carrollton, Texas. Facilty is clean and welcoming. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. All the pets up for adoption appear to he happy, playful and ready for new homes. I was told that there are more volunteers needed for fostering the pets until they can find their new homes. Anyone who lives in the vicinity and is available to foster might want to contact them. It would be a great help to the animals in need.

    Pros

    No kill shelter

    Cons

    Needs more foster homes

  • 10. Adoption Review

    by: ahiatt

We adopted our lab at Operation Kindness 4 years ago. It is clean, the staff is friendly and they have areas where you can take the dogs out, play & see how you interact with them etc. This facility has huge support in the North Texas area.

    Pros

No kill facility, friendly staff, very clean.

    Cons

They did not follow up us within a month of adoption as stated in the adoption agreement.

  • 11. Great place for adoptions

    by: RoadRashTX

This is a great place to adopt a pet. I adopted a dog from them many years ago and I was very happy with their service. They have a very nice facility and I also like the fact that they do a good job verifying adopters to make sure that the animals are going to good homes.

    Pros

    Kind and Friendly

    Cons

    None
