  • 1. A great, great place.

    by: marshmallownme

I have gotten 3 of my 4 pets there, and everything has worked out great. I pick out my pet and then I make my donation and they're mine. I love the new facility and I would never work with a place who killed animals.

    Great new facility, no kill

Could be more people to help out

  • 2. Wonderful!

    by: scully1342

I find the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I have constantly had success with this shelter and every animal I have adopted from here.

Every animal I have ever gotten from the northeast animal shelter has been wonderful.

    small space

  • 3. I got my very first "baby" there

    by: DebJones

I got my first little poodle there. Someone called them with a poodle to surrender. The shelter called me and gave me the person's number. I went straight to their house. The little guy never even saw the shelter and the fee was waived. I don't know if they still do that. This was a LONG time ago, but if I was ever to adopt again, I'd go there.

    They remembered me and called.

  • 4. Knowledgeable Staff

    by: neasweb

The staff at the shelter was very helpful when I was looking for a dog to adopt. They care for the animals and only want to place them in homes that are a good fit for both the animals and for us. I took all of their advice and learned a great deal about the dog that would be a good fit for myself and my family.

    Very helpful and friendly staff

  • 5. I addopted my first kitten there years ago

    by: mewlkitten

I got my first kitten there years ago. A woman had a pregnant cat, and she threatened to drown the kittens, so the shelter took them in. They were too young to leave their mother, but the shelter took good care of them. My family addopted the runt of the litter, a femal we named Mittens because she had white double paws that looked like mittens. We raised her and she lived for 16 1/2 years befor we had to put her down for various health reasons that could not be helped.\r\nI want to get another kitten once I move into my own place, and I'm going here first.

    I loved it

    No problems

  • 6. Not Happy

    by: camsolares

I found the volunteers at the Northeast Animal shelter to be very unfriendly and not helpful. i do know people who have adopte dthere and hope they id not experience the same disappointment we did. We went there ready to adopt and were discouraged by the people that worked there. I applaud the fact that they work alot with greyhounds and save a satos. i have often seen a dog on the website ai would consider adopting but hestitate because of my last experience there.

    had a bad experience
