  • 4. Good place to adopt

    by: Brodyboy

I adopted all three of my dogs from the NHS and have raised money for them since then. I wish they weren't so busy or full of animals - but they do a good job adopting out pets to the right home.

    Pros

    Clean, works with animals well

    Cons

    busy

  • 5. Very Supportive

    by: debboster

When we had to put our dog to sleep, NHS was very helpful in arranging to have her cremated. They were very sympathic and helped us with the process. We received a card with a poem that we keep by her little box. When I miss her I read the poem and it helps to know that we will meet again

    Pros

    Are the best

    Cons

    None

  • 6. Leading Edge

    by: sarchibald

I adopted a dog from the NHS about 5 years ago. At that time, they were on the cutting edge - my dog was already spayed (at 8 weeks of age), came microchipped and I had to sign an agreement to house train her. The facility is top-of-the line - very impressive and worth a visit. I still haven't registered my dog's microchip - my fault, but I'm sure it's a common problem. The shelter I volunteer at uses 24Petwatch and we register all chips for all adopted cats and dogs. We don't charge extra for the registration because 24Petwatch doesn't charge extra for the service.

    Pros

Beautiful building, goos policies, great staff

    Cons

    microchip registration not included
