It sickens me this shelter RUSHES to euthanize all pets. If they get an animal in on Monday, no fail, this animal will be euthed on Tuesday. They do not try to find homes for these animals past posting on Petfinder. I have talked with someone there that was 'in charge' about a dog and they were RUDE, spoke negatively about the dog and the workers. Didn't get any real answer from this lady about this dog just a lot of negativity and condesending remarks. I feel bad for the animlas that get taken into this shelter. No hope for them at all.

I used to work a lot with MCAC. While the staff are nice, the pets don't always seem to be the top priority. The pets stay in small cement pens, there are no dog beds, the pets get no exercise, and they are only given a week to "get adopted or get rescued." In addition, MANY nice pets are destroyed because of "lack of space." However, they do run a Petfinder page that they keep updated (a new thing) and they work closely with a rescue that moves lots of pets out.
