  • 1. A Much-Needed Facility

    by: petxpert

I haven't been there in a few years but they give the best possible care with the resources they have. I love the fact that they have a TNR program which is every community's best possible hope for humanely controlling feral cats; allowing them to live out their lives with a reliable food source, spayed or neutered so they will not continue to produce more cats who will live their lives in jeopardy.

    Pros

Socialize feral kittens when possible, TNR program in place

    Cons

Like every shelter they can probably use more foster homes

  • 2. A wonderful shelter!

I have been proud to be a volunteer with MWHS for years now. i have seen first hand their love and compassion in practice. Not only am i a volunteer, it is where i have also gotten several of my kitties from. This particular shelter has had a deep impact on how i look at animals in the world and what i can do to help. thank-you!

  • 5. Got 2 of my best friends there!!

    by: Merricats

About a year ago, I went to MWHS to adopt a friend and wanted a special needs guy (I'm a vet). They very reluctantly parted with Hank for me and I took his buddy Deacon home, too. They're happy as clams (now renamed Oogie Boogie--for his chronic URI and Louis) they are currently helping to raise a new kitten!!

    Pros

    Know their cats well!

    Cons
