I have four dogs, and a few cats, and Longwood has been my primary vet hospital for the last 10 years. Their pricing is very reasonable, service is first rate, the vets and staff treat my pets as if they were one of their own, and the vets are always up on the latest happenings in veterinary medicine. They won't hesitate to consult with others in the field if needed. My diabetic dog, Duncan, has been a "medical challenge" on occasions, and the few times he has had to spend the night at Longwood, someone on staff has stayed there with him to monitor him, so I would not have to transfer him to an emergency hospital. They are flexible with staying after closing, should an emergency arise right before they are closing. When a patient is sick and needs to stay at the hospital for a few days, they will allow the owner to come visit and spend time with their beloved pet, and they don't mind the many calls a day for updates! On occasion I have seen the local police K-9 dogs at Longwood being tended to. The vets even volunteer their time and services to help out a local no-kill animal shelter. I have recommended Longwood to many of my friends, coworkers, and acquaintances and have never heard any negative feedback from them. The vets and staff at Longwood are not just medical providers to all my pets, they are my pets extended family.
