    by: meggersd25

I have been volunteering for LAPP for several months. My son and I have a great time cleaning the cat cages on the weekends. The cats are great and the volunteers are wonderful! I have two lifeline dogs that make me laugh because of their personalities and friendly nature. I will continue to help out with LAPP because I do believe that Pat and her NO KILL shelter is the best place for these animals.

Everyone who volunteers is great with the animals

    Cons

    Really needs a makeover!!

    by: amscaletty

Mary-\r\nMy name is Angie Scaletty. I am Fr Tom Scaletty's niece and received an email from my aunt Mary Stephan about your work with animals. I admire you and your work beyond belief! My roomate and myself just took in a 5 month old lab/german shepard mix a few weeks ago from a local shelter. He is our foster dog until the shelter can find a more permanent home for him. I have fallen in love with this little guy, but unfortunately live in an apt in the city and know he could have a better life with a family who has a home. I hope that this is the way I can comment and help you to earn points. If not, I now have a login for this site and you can leave me a message on how to help you earn points. I'm also going to pass this on to several people and tell them to come leave you a message and earn points. Good luck! Angie

  • 20. Only No Kill Here

    by: foobie

Lifeline Animal Placement & Protection (LAPP) is doing a service that no one else is doing here. In today's world, animals are expendible to people. Not at LAPP! It is the only shelter in this area that takes care of strays until death or adoption do they part. No euthanasia for being unwanted! That requires huge amounts of money and facilities. Please support LAPP!

    Pros

    Only No Kill

    Cons

    Needs new facility

    by: elliemae

This small piece of real estate is heaven on earth to me. The animals make it so. As they look at you through their runs, you can't help but get them out to go to the playground for some romp and roll time. There they run if they are inclined or they stay close to get as much human touch as possible. When you leave, you feel restored from their love and adoration. And, you know that unless they get adopted, they will be there to love and greet you when you visit again.

    Pros

Privately owned and the owner is careful about who the animals are adopted to and the shelter is no kill.

    Cons

Most don't know that the shelter exists so the adoption rate could be higher.
