  • 1. Best vet I've been to!

    by: LibraryWench

Dr. Mulligan was the first vet I used in Lynchburg, when I inherited a cat from a co-worker. When that cat suddenly passed away, you could tell how much it hurt him to have to explain to me what happened. But, explain he did--he answered my questions thoroughly and carefully. Since then, I have taken my other two cats and one dog to him, and he has been just as wonderful with them as he was my first cat. It was discovered that my pup had heartworms when I brought her home from the pound, and he was just as wonderful with her as he was with my other critters.\n\nI also see two other vets at Peaks View (whatever works with my schedule), and they are all wonderful. I have to say my pup is particularly fond of the receptionists and assistants--she's the only dog I've seen who truly loves visiting her friends at the vet!\n\nI love Peaks View, and all of the doctors there, and would highly recommend them to anyone from Lynchburg/Bedford looking for a vet.

    Pros

Superior service & cares for his customers

    Cons

    A little expensive

  • 2. cares for his clients

    by: AlanS

From all I've heard from a friend who has used him for years-long before he moved to Peaksview-Dr Mulligan is a vet who cares about the animals. He has been known to call clients on his own time if the situation warrants it. He is not our regular vet, but is one I would go to if needed.

    Pros

    He knows his stuff

    Cons

    A little expensive

  • 3. Expert on behavior problems

    by: Smilingk9

I love Peaks View and have confidence in all the vets in this practice but Dr. Mulligan especially is very good when it comes to dealing with behavior problems. Recently, when one of my male cats began spraying around my house after having bladder crystals, Dr. Mulligan made several suggestions and gave me hope that I could indeed correct my cat's behavior without rehoming him. The suggestions worked.

    Pros

knowledgable, friendly, great with behavior problems

    Cons

    none

  • 4. Beyond the call of duty

    by: srj

My friend had a diabetic dog who lived to be 18 years old & was diabetic for 10 of those years. Dr Mulligan is the vet she raves about. He was available in any emergency, even on weekends. His advice was sound-many vets don't really know much about diabetic animals since it is not given much coverage in vet school, apparantly. She was sorry to have to leave Dr Mulligan when she moved to Roan oke.

    Pros

    He really cares

    Cons

    on the expensive side

I have been going to this office for the past 2 years. I can't imagine taking my dogs anywhere else. The vets, the techs and even the receptionists are WONDERFUL!! They always call you back in a decent amount of time and are never rushed with you during you appointment. They will answer or get you an answer to you question.

    Pros

Everyone at the office is wonderful! They are very knowledgeable and compassionate.

    Cons

    None
