this vet is fantastic. They have a lot of specialists and are very helpful. It does tend to be expensive though.

  • 2. fantastic vet

The CSU Vet hospital is great. We visited it on and off for about two years while our dog battled a rare form of lymphoma. They were always very helpful, would respond to calls from us asking questions, and probably extended the life of our dog by many months. If you are able and willing to pay for a research vet hospital - this is the place.

    Pros

    helpful, care about pets

    Cons

    expensive

  • 3. Cancer treatment center

    by: chitown

A few years ago I drove my beloved Keeshond-mix to CSU for a month's worth of radiation of her nasal tumor. The veterinarians and students were very kind, and they were frank about the odds, which were not favorable. They kept me apprised daily when I was back home in Montana. As good as CSU is, though, I would not put an animal through this again. I can hope that my dog's experience will help others.

    Pros

    Compassionate veterinarians

    Cons

Not much can be done about animal cancers generally

  • 4. A wonderful resource for animals

    by: katyquinn

This is a really wonderful place for animals. There are so many specialists in every area of medicine available. And all of the care they give is useful. Because of the price I do not take my pets here for routine exams but turn here first for any sort of emergency or specialized care.

    Pros

A large array of experts in animal care

    Cons

It is more expensive than typical vet clinics

I've had great experiences at CSU. They have saved some of my pets and I'm eternally grateful for that. They are great for serious problems, not good for regular care.

    Pros

    Great vets, caring students

    Cons

    Expensive
