  • 3. Incredible shelter that helps the community!!

    by: evieg16

We got involved with the shelter 3 years ago when we adopted our dog "Katie". We found the volunteers were caring and the shelter was active in getting the community involed in taking care of their pets. We became volunteers and are grateful that the shelter provides much needed "Low-cost Shot Clinics" for the animals as well as a "Low-cost Spay/Neuter clinic". They truly help the community keep healthy animals & help to prevent unwanted animals. Ann who is the President & Director puts in countless hours and is a true HERO!!!

Active in helping the animals in our community

I also have volunteered at this facility. They have come a long way & continue to amaze everyone.\r\n\r\nThe president, Ann is the most dedicated person I know. Her daughter, Amanda will amaze anyone with her knowledge of the shelter. \r\n\r\nThis is a no kill, non profit shelter and exists due to caring dedicated people. Thanks for your time & dedication. \r\n\r\nIf you have a minute, go to the website www.hssaline.org and find a new family member:) They would all like to have a new home for the holidays! \r\n\r\nVal

  • 5. Let's hear it for the Board Members and Volunteers

    by: suzycutes

I have volunteered at this shelter on many occasions and I have to give a big round of appluse to the Board Members for their hard work in keeping the shelter running. Running a shelter is no easy task when you rely solely on community donations to make it work. This is a true rags to riches story still in the making. God Bless You All!!!

    Pros

Cleanliness, Helpful to the animals, helpful to the community.

    Cons

Not open to the public enough hours.

  • 6. Shelter has undergone many changes

    by: HSSCshelter

The wonderful little shelter has come a long way in the past 4 years. It is MUCH cleaner than it was, the animals are all spayed/neutered and eating Science Diet foods. They also are now offering several services to the community, such as low cost shot clinics and a low cost spay/nueter clinic.

    Pros

Shelter has come a long way in improving the services being offered both to the animals and the community.

    Cons

    none
