  • 1. Knox County Shelter Loves Animals

    by: KEWales

I have visited the Knox County Shelter several times within the past few months. Their staff is always helpful and friendly. All of the animals there get lots of hugs, good food, clean cages, and care. \nThe shelter has recently had an influx of cats from a home that had over 40 cats and another home that had a fire--this too was a home with too many kitties for one owner to look after. \nThe kitties need homes. The Knox County Shelter is a non-kill facility (which I applaud) but they are getting overburdened. In spite of the great number of kitties, plus the dogs, turtles, and whoever else needs a home, the shelter remains a happy place. The staff at the Knox County Shelter are a group of very special, hardworking, and kind people. \nI hope that you will consider adopting someone from this shelter or if, like me, you can't adopt right now, please do what you can to help them. Their needs are many. They deserve our help. Thank you, Karen Wales
