  • 2. I love HSHV

    by: TrilliumLily

I have a deep and abiding love for HSHV. I adopted my kitty, Rachel from them, and I will be forever gratful to them for pointing me her way. =) I look forward to seeing what they'll do with the new buildings they're planning. The clinic is great, with very reasonable prices, and once again, all the staff is amazing, very warm, friendly people.

    Pros

The staff is wonderful, and really look out for both you the adopter and the animals you're interested in!

    Cons

The buildings are getting filled much too quickly.

  • 3. HSHV is AMAZING!

    by: KatieMarie

HSHV is amazing! The staff and the group of volunteers are incredibly high-spirited and compassionate given the type of work they must do. Facilities are clean. Website is updated frequently. We got our cat there last year, and she is simply wonderful!

    Pros

    Fun place to be!

    Cons

    NA

  • 4. Affordable Rabbit Spaying

    by: kirst750

I called a lot of places looking for one that spayed female rabbits. The few that did were very expensive. Huron Valley works with local rabbit shelters so has lots of rabbit spaying experience and has the best price. It made it worth the drive for me. They also gave me metacam for pain management for two days for both my rabbits.

    Pros

    Knowledgeable & Affordable for Rabbits!

    Cons

    Far from my home

  • 5. Great Staff!

    by: GiddieUp48

I adopted a bunny from Huron Valley, and the staff memeber helping me was very knowledgable and friendly. I adopted him (including a neuter and metacam) for only $35. The vet clinic here has also looked at my female bunny for free! I highly reccommed this shelter for adoption since they clearly care about the animals!

    Pros

    cleanliness

    Cons

    they aren't a no-kill shelter

  • 6. Cheap Spay/Neuter clininc

    by: haleyhanna

Ive taken several rabbits to Huron Valley clinic for spays and neuters and all have gone great. I live in Genesee County and there arent many vets who spay rabbits, and those who do charge upwards of 200.00. HV's prices are cheap and they are knowledgable and experienced.

    Pros

one of a few places who spay rabbits at a decent price

    Cons

    none

  • 7. HSHV has rabbits!

    by: jam224

We adopted a rabbit from them 2 years ago and are very happy that we did! The staff were very nice and knowledgeable and the information packet that they gave us on rabbits was extremely helpful: better and more concise than most books! It definitely got us started on the right path to appropriate rabbit care. His adoption fee included the cost of him being neutered and they took care of his surgery in-house! We were able to bring him home the next day. HSHV was even kind enough to allow us to borrow one of their cages until we could pick up a large enough cage for him! Thank you, HSHV!

    Pros

    They rescue small animals too

    Cons

They aren't a "no kill" shelter
