  • 2. The volunteers work hard

    by: jansica

The volunteers are always helpfull. I go in there to look at the dogs, and they are alwasy knowledgable about each dog, and willing to help you. They will bring dogs out and play with them. They generally care for these dogs.

The volunteers love what they do

  • 3. The spay/neuter clinic is great

Great place to get cats and dogs spay/neutered in Charlotte. Centrally located and price is great.

    Professional and efficient

  • 4. I offered to help but was never contacted!

    by: LouAnne

Before I started helping at my local Humane Society I went to this organization and offered to foster kittens for them. They promised to get back in touch with me but never did. I was so disappointed. I realize now that I would have been unable to help them due to their location being so far from my house. I was just disappointed that since I made the effort to call and drop by to offer my help, that there was no follow-up on their part.

    Don't know

    No response from them!

  • 5. Kill Facility

    by: Johnsonpack

I went there once, before I knew about my counties shelter to donate food and supplies. It was heart breaking to see all the beautiful animals there and not be able to save them all.

    They have huge property

    Not a no-kill facility

  • 6. not a volunteer shelter

    by: forrest

Unlike most shelters, this shelter has board members on payroll. It used to be run by a very special lady who donated her time for free. Now someone came in and took over putting herself and other people on payroll. My shelter is volunteer only. If all other shelters put everyone on payroll, then how much money would you think actually makes it to the animals? They also have wine and cheese parties for new people that come on board on the payroll.

has what is suposed to be volunteers on payroll
