It would be nice if they did not have to put animals down, but I know that they try to save as many as they can.

    Pros

    Good Location and caring people

    Cons

    It is a kill shelter

  • 2. Helpful and Dedicated

We adopted our wonderful Winston from them 20 years ago and are grateful they rescued him as a puppy. We were there this past year to visit and viewed the plaque on the kennel we dedicated in his memory. We were glad to see they were expanding to continue their effort on behalf of homeless pets.

    Pros

    Animals are well cared for.

    Cons

Staff did not know their own facility amenities

    by: valliesong

Shelter staff wouldn't return my phone calls regarding feral cat clinic and other programs. They have revoked their animal control/cruelty investigation contract with most of the county, leaving the county's other shelter overburdened. I hope others have a better experience with them.

    Pros

the animals are truly in need

    Cons

dogs aren't temperament tested, cats aren't FelV/FIV tested, adoption area is small so not many animals are placed up for adoption, very lax adoption policies
