  • 1. A wonderful organization

    by: lacaamano

I have been involved with GEB as a puppy raiser and employee for the past 17 years. I am currently raising my 8th puppy for them, and worked for them for 8 years through the 90s. I can't say enough about this wonderful organization. The dogs they produce are of exceptional quality, the raising program is comprehensive and well run, and the training program for both dogs and blind individuals is exemplary. I am proud to be associated with GEB and encourage those who can to participate and support them.

    Pros

well bred dogs, excellent support and guidance and reputation

    Cons

too far from where I live!

I have donated money when I can to this organization. I have for about 10 years now. I only wish I had more to give. Having a guide dog is so very necessary for the blind. I have often thought it would be so interesting to learn how to train these dogs. I have a small booklet from a blind acquaintance of mine that she wrote telling about her pain with the lose of each dog she had. She is at the age that she has had 3 or 4 dogs. It is heartbreaking. The bond between these dogs and their owners is more than any of us can understand. Bless this organization and all the work they do.

    Pros

Helps the blind live independent lives

    Cons

    absolutely none
