The Fort Mill Animal Clinic is staffed by some of the kindest people I've met, from the reception crew to Dr. Lesslie himself. They're knowledgeable, have a love for all kinds of animals and are straightforward. Though we did go to another nearby clinic in the area that was open on weekends for a year, we still prefer Dr. Lesslie's care for our three cats. He takes time to talk with us, gives us options to consider and we feel as if our time and our pets are important. He and his staff talk to the animals as they work, their hands are gentle and they are always willing to answer questions we might have. \n\nWhen we noticed a swollen teat on our cat, Lan, we took her to the vet to find out what it was. It ended up being an aggressive breast cancer. She had surgery and when we took her back for a follow up and have the stitches removed, Dr. Lesslie gave us the bad news. He was honest with us, letting us know her survival chances, options in treatment and so on, including the fact that it was likely the cancer would return. He was sympathetic and I believe it saddened him to deliver that type of news to a pet owner. I feel that he cares as much for the animals he treats as their owners do. \n\nThe con that I listed was that his office isn't open on weekends, but I don't mind it. I'd rather take the time off from work and take my cats to someone I like and respect as my veterinarian. I hope he stays in our area for a long time.
