While the cause of having to rush to an emergency vet at 3:30am on a Sunday is never good, it is nice to know that you have someone waiting for you, and ready to help, the minute you get there. The doctors practicing at this office are all very knowlegeable, and the technicians and support staff are all very good to work with. In an area of vet care that often ends in euthensia, it is often hard to find a doctor that is still able to express compassion towards your plight. I felt very comfortable with the doctor's assessment of our situation, felt she was still in touch with people's feelings concerning there loved one. My vet recommends this clinic for off-hour emergencies, and we use them from time to time with cats from the Cat Adoption Team that need emergency services. I highly recommend this clinic to any and all who find themselves in a situation requiring and emergency vet.

    Pros

open all normal off-hours for vet clinics, including holidays, caring staff, very professional care, clean, very quick intake

    Cons

expensive, but all emergency vet clincis are spendy

  • 4. Very compassionate personnel

I have been to this emergency clinic on several occasions and each time the staff was very knowledgable and compassionate. The first time I visited Tualatin Emergency was when my beloved dog had to be euthanized due to cancer. The vet staff was really wonderful and helped the circumstance be as gentle on my grieving family as well as, of course, our dog. On subsequent visits for other animals I have always felt like we were in best of hands.

    Pros

    available at night

    Cons

    none

  • 5. Very good place!

I would recommend this clinic to everyone. I know of several of the doctors and have heard almost all positive feedback. Support staff are compassionate and knowledgeable too. They will help you efficiently and try to make the cost as reasonable as possible. You will find them open the opposite hours of a general vet clinic.

    Pros

Reasonable cost for emergency services, compassionate care

    Cons

Not as many hours as other emergency clinics

  • 6. Great for Late Night Emergencies!

    by: kitesong

We had to take our kitty Gummy here after 6 pm one night when she couldn't move her hind legs. We were seen quickly and treated very kindly. The vet went to great lengths to get a good examination (she gets VERY upset around strangers) when she was thrashing around like a crazy wild animal - even I was scared of her! He thought it was great when she peed all over us because he could get a sample from the table (I however wasn't so happy about it). He even sent us home with an copy of her x-ray on a disk for the computer. We received great care at a reasonable price and will definitely go again if we have another emergency.

    Pros

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, great vet!

    Cons

    None
